CalDAV – over-engineering at its best!

I'm incredibly happy that CalDAV finally gave us a standard that has now become ubiquitous, but you have to be pretty tough to wrap iCalendar in WebDAV in XML in HTTP! No wonder Google Tasks still can't sync through the Google Calendar CalDAV interface.

The example above is also pretty great: the various filters are nested inside one another even though the query is asking for a unique identifier.
